How long have mtstudios been established?

We celebrated our five year anniversary in February 2009. The idea for mtstudios was born in late 2003 by its' two current Directors, Matt and Tony. We have been established since February 2004 and have served over 100 clients both locally and internationally, whilst remaining a small, focused, efficient team.

Where are mtstudios based?

mtstudios are based in Deal in East Kent. We have a modest sized office and no receptionist so when you call you get straight through to the designers, developers and project managers that will be helping your business. We have many clients in the Canterbury, Dover, Thanet and Folkestone areas, but many more further afield, from London and Essex to Ibiza and the Maldives. With the Internet, distance is not necessarily a factor so if you think we're right for you, please call, wherever you are based.

How much do you charge?

An average site with us would cost between £1,500 and £5,000 but we have worked with project budgets of £600 up to £30,000. The price always reflects the amount of work involved in producing the finished website so if you don't need too much it shouldn't cost too much.

We are very happy to work within your budget, whatever it is, so it's worth calling us even if some of these prices are beyond the depth of your pocket - we'd still love to hear from you. Typically, the cost of any website is split into two equal payments, one payable up-front and one which isn't due until you're happy with the finished product, so you can feel safe.

How long will my website take?

This is dependant on how complex or unusual your site is. A small website promoting your business should be done within a month, a reasonably typical ecommerce shop might take two months and a large, complex bespoke project - perhaps involving a booking or invoicing system - could take three months (or longer). However, we will always ask you when your deadline is and work to it. We regard delivering your website on time just as important as delivering it within budget - we know both cost you money.

Why should I use mtstudios?

We are an established, professional company who pride themselves on maintaining long term healthy relationships with our clients. We've been selected by the likes of Dover Town Council to provide their website and our reputation is both founded and excellent. We embrace modern technologies to provide reliable websites at the best possible price and we'll help you market that website after it is complete. Do you use overseas contractors?

If by overseas you mean "out-source" then no, we will never have other people develop your website for us. We believe that the UK is home to some of the most innovative and hard working teams available and even if you do not choose to work with us, we would want you to work with one of them.

Will you take care of my email/domain/hosting?

Absolutely. We can and will provide everything if you wish (or if it scares you). If you want to handle any or all of these, we don't mind.

What technologies do you use?

We are pretty comfortable with all major web technologies, but are especially experienced in Microsoft SQL Server and the ASP.NET languages. Beyond that, we use AJAX, Flash and JavaScript on a regular basis. Furthermore, we always have an eye to the future.  All our sites work with the Apple iPhone, and we realise the importance of Social Networking sites, using appropriate technologies such as Facebook Connect or YouTube intergration where approriate.  Features such as Social Networking links (Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon etc) and RSS feeds will be found where appropriate or requested.
